I'm Josh, an AI developer and senior full-stack software engineer who cares about two things: clean, maintainable systems and outcomes you can measure. Over the last five-plus years I've architected and delivered more than ten production web applications, working across the whole stack from component libraries and server-side rendering to REST/GraphQL APIs, databases and AWS serverless infrastructure.
More recently that's expanded into AI development: building AI agents, chatbots and LLM-powered features, and training/serving machine learning models with Python, TensorFlow and PyTorch. I specialize in LLMs, NLP and deep learning, and in wiring those models into real, production full-stack products rather than one-off notebooks.
My path into software was unconventional: I trained as a chemical engineer before teaching myself to build for the web, and that background shows in how I work: systematic, measurement-driven, and comfortable owning problems end to end. Whether it’s cutting load times, automating a deployment pipeline, or making an application accessible to users in five languages, I like leaving systems demonstrably better than I found them.
Beyond the code, I lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and work closely with product and design in Agile teams. I previously served as Collegiate President of JCI, organizing leadership development programs.
